Murrells Inlet 2020 MarshWalk Masters

Put on your knickers and putt yourself through the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk stopping at restaurants and shops along the way. Play the hole at each of the nine stops on the tour and the lowest score wins! 1st Place – $500 cash. Additional prizes awarded to 2nd & 3rd Place and Best Dressed Golfer. Enjoy the beautiful Marshwalk views and watch the Augusta Masters on TVs while you play. An after party and awards ceremony will begin at 9 pm at one of the hole locations. The registration fee is $20 per player (over 12).  Proceeds benefit Murrells Inlet 2020. 22nd Annual Spring Tide  -  A Day for the Inlet

Twenty-two years and going strong, Spring Tide is South Carolina’s biggest and longest-running one-day community clean-up. Join in to clean up the creek and streets of Murrells Inlet. The day begins with an invocation at 9:45 am at Morse Park Landing (next to the Hot Fish Club) in Murrells Inlet. Volunteers can check in at the Hot Fish Club to receive street assignments for clean-up. Workers head out at 10:00 am to start picking up the trash. Everyone is invited back to the Hot Fish Club at 1:00 pm for the "Best Damn Chowder Cook-off" and light-hearted festivities and live music to celebrate our hard work. Over fifteen restaurant chowders will be available and the chowder is free to all our workers. Bring your boats, boots, bug spray, glove and your love of the Inlet. Belin UMC Annual Blessing of the Inlet

Join in this annual day-long celebration of worship, entertainment, great food, family fun and arts & crafts. The "Blessing of the Inlet" Ceremony will start at 11:30 am.  Admission is free. The event, now in its 16th year, will be held at Belin United Methodist Church (4183 Hwy 17 Business) in Murrells Inlet.  Call 843-651-5099 for more information or CLICK HERE to visit the Blessing website.

Murrells Inlet 2020 15th Annual Golf Tournament

Blackmoor Golf Club in Murrells Inlet  presents the 15th Annual Murrells Inlet 2020 Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 22, 2013.  Prompt shotgun start at 1pm pm.  Prizes awarded for top three winning teams, longest putt, longest drive and more.  Chances to win cars on the hole-in-one contests.  Registration is $110 per person or $400 per foursome.  Fee includes green fees, golf cart, on-course beverages and snacks, goodie bag and after-golf party.  Contact MI2020 at 843-357-2007 for more information.

Murrells Inlet 4th of July Boat Parade

Don’t miss this annual Inlet patriotic tradition!   The 30th Annual July 4th Boat Parade kicks off at high tide from Garden City Point.  The parade theme will be announced in the spring.  The parade will head over to the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk and then follow the Murrells Inlet shoreline down to the Hot Fish Club.  Best public viewing points are the Marshwalk, Belin Methodist Church, Nance’s Restaurant, Captain Poo’s Restaurant and the Hot Fish Club.  To register to be in the boat parade, go to Booty’s Outdoors, Garden City Reality, or Captain Dick’s June 15th through July 3rd.  You can register on July 4th with the committee boat which will be in the water at the Garden City Point at 8am that day.  The Belin United Methodist Boy Scout Troop 396 will be selling the annual Boat Parade t-shirts at Booty’s Outdoors and Garden City Realty in Murrells Inlet.  Call 843-652-4236 for more details.

Annual July 4th Fireworks Display Over the Inlet

The Murrells Inlet MarshWalk restaurants will light up the skies on the 4th of July with a spectacular fireworks display.  The show, which is shot off from the end of the Veterans Pier, is scheduled to start at 10:00 pm.  Spectators can view the display from the many vantage points off the marsh shoreline, including the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, Belin Methodist Church, Morse Park Landing next to the Hot Fish Club and the Marlin Quay Marina area.   In the rare event of a washout, a fireworks rain date will be announced.  Call 843-651-2484 or email marshwalkinfo@gmail.com for more information.

14th Annual Surfrider Lip-Rippin’ Chilympics Chili Cook-off

The 14th Annual Lip-Rippin’ Chilympics Chili Cook-Off  will be held on Sunday, October 13th, from noon to 6:00pm at the Wicked Tuna in Murrells Inlet. This annual chili competition will feature categories such as Best Overall, Best Restaurant, People’s Choice, Most Original, Best Vegetarian, Best Theme, Best Use of South Carolina Ingredients, and Hottest Chili.  Cash prizes go to first and second place winners in each category. Chili samples, beverages and other items will be priced separately. Admission is free and this event is open to the public.  There will be a fabulous line-up of live bands.  There will also be a Kids’ Area with food, soft drinks, face painting and inflatables.  All proceeds from the Lip-Rippin’ Chilympics Chili Cook-Off will be used for projects of the Grand Strand Surfrider Foundation, an all-volunteer, 501C3 non-profit serving the Grand Strand. For more information about competing or attending, click HERE to visit the Grand Strand Surfrider Foundation website or contact Bruxanne Hein at (843) 333-2034, bruxanne@yahoo.com.

Annual Christmas Parade – Boats & Floats for the Kids

Get in the holiday spirit with the Annual Community Christmas Parade beginning at 3:00 pm!  Come and enjoy the fun as the Murrells Inlet Christmas Parade starts at Wilcox Avenue (Booty’s) and marches down Business 17.  Find yourself a comfy spot along the parade route and enjoy the line-up of marching bands, beauty queens, dogs, cycles, and lots and lots of goodies for the kids!   The parade ends at Pendergrass Avenue.  Don’t miss out.   Contact MI2020 at 843-357-2007 for more information.
